Ohmygosh, I seriously just, like, freaked out for like a good 10 minutes after watching this episode. Like, I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY CONFESSED. OHMYGOODNESS, THEY CONFESSED. I have been watching this anime since, like, 13-14 years old, then heavily started binging around 16-17 years old, took a break from 18-20 since there was an internet anime genocide going on, and then have watched over 140 episodes in the last 2 weeks. But still, I’m going to count Detective Conan as something I’ve watched for 7 years. And ever since the beginning, you wonder when Ran will found out about Conan, when Shinichi and/or Ran will confess, etc. etc. AND PART OF IT HAPPENED. THEY CONFESSED. OHMYGOD, I CAN’T BELIEVE I’VE WITNESSED IT. OHMYGOSH. AND IN LONDON, HOW DRAMATIC.
Considering the case before the Holmes Revelation case was set on April 24th, and Holmes Revelation was set over a 4 day long weekend, and there are about 20 more episodes with no mention of Shinichi, I suppose they won’t do anything for his birthday (though they DID try to pass off the fact that episode 266-268 was Valentine’s Day, and only a month later, episode 608 was White Day). JEEZ, BUT I’M SO EXCITED, I WANT TO SEE THEM TOGETHER AGAIN NOW. But I feel like I won’t for another year since episode releases are so slow… But it was sooo, gaaaaah~ They omitted Shinichi’s more straightforward confession from episode 617, and in 618 just showed the both of them being SUPER shy and not wanting to talk on the phone. Shinichi goes, “AH, IT’S RAN…. Professor, can you answer it?” And then Ran made her dad call Shinichi too. XD GWAAAH. I guess it shoulda been obvious, but you kinda were made to just think that they’re embarrassed because Ran had confessed and Shinichi couldn’t respond, but that he responded and that’s why they’re embarrassed—!! Gaaaaaaahhhhh. 7 years! And after he had went through the trouble of saying that he can’t tell her how he feels because it’d make her miss him more! Although I guess as Conan, he always knew how Ran felt since he got to hear the secretive information that girls say to everyone but the guy she likes, and therefore it shouldn’t really change much between their relationship since Conan didn’t learn anything new and Ran still doesn’t know Shinichi is Conan. And Ran probably knew a relative extent of Shinichi’s love for her, just not in concrete words, and not properly knowing if she was the one, as opposed to just a childhood friend that he treasures. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH, MAYBE THE NEXT THING WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO IS THEIR FIRST KISS THEN!? Though Shinichi already asked her on a dinner date (though that coulda been just as friends, despite their swanky clothes). Almost coulda swagged a kiss too, dressed up as the knight.
GWAAAH, AND WHEN WILL HEIJI AND KAZUHA CONFESS?! THAT’LL NOT ONLY BE CUTE AND AMAZING, BUT POSSIBLY FREAKIN’ HILARIOUS JUST CAUSE IT’S THEM! \(>_<)/ I CANNOT imagine them confessing without one of them saying “Aho!” XD
